Protection of Vulnerable Persons
Section , Florida Statutes Require reporting of known or reasonably suspected abuse of a child by any adult. Require reporting of known or reasonably suspected childhood sexual abuse or the victim of a known or suspected juvenile sexual offender.

Protection of Vulnerable Persons
ABUSE is defined as: Any willful act or threatened act that results in any physical, mental, or sexual abuse, injury, or harm that causes or is likely to cause the child’s physical, mental or emotional health to be significantly impaired. Abuse of a child includes acts or omissions. Corporal discipline by a parent does not in itself constitute abuse when it does not result in harm to the child.

Title IX – Federal Mandates
Response to Sexual Violence Title IX protects students from sexual harassment in a school’s education programs and activities If a school knows or reasonably should know about student-on-student harassment that creates a hostile environment Title IX requires the school to take immediate action to eliminate the harassment, prevent its recurrence, and address its effects. The school must process sexual harassment complaints in accordance with its established procedures.
