Digital Workflow Phases SAVING Save it as a PSD if you want your layers to edit in the future Save it as a JPEG if you are 100% done with the photo Make sure You set the image size for the appropriate size Print You or Your Customer will need PROOFS Now is when you share the “proofs” for your customer to choose which ones they want to print Online thru a website By In person with hard copies (like class pictures) Or sharing a virtual album with them that is watermarked Instructor: N. Digital Workflow Phases Digital Workflow is Divided into Phases: Printing Phase Happens after your customer chooses/approves proofs Using Your Own Equipment For Digital Photography, you need Photo printer that has the size capabilities you require for your work Photo paper that also meets those needs Using a Photo Lab Lots of Options online The higher the quality, the more expensive the prints Lots of options to offer your customers You can set up accounts with certain companies for discounts Instructor: N. Digital Workflow Phases Display/Distribution Phase With customer approval, many digital/commercial photographers will put an album on their social media site and website to advertise their work If you specialize in “non- human” photography like landscapes, nature, architectural, then you could also find printing services to sell your prints: Posters If you have access to art shows/trade shows, they are a great way to have your work mounted to show off, have business cards ready, and do your networking Pillows Blankets wall hangings Cups coffee mugs stock images Etc.
