Worship Dictionary definition: to feel or express reverence or love for a deity to honor with love and submission Old Testament definition: to bow down before a superior in respect; to prostrate oneself New Testament definition: to kiss the hand, as a dog licks his master’s hand, in reverence; to kneel or prostrate oneself in respect.

Worship Falling on their knees, (the wise men) worshiped Him. (Matthew 2:11) “I will give you all these things if you will fall down and worship me” (Matthew 4:9) Then those in the boat worshiped Him and said, “Truly You are the Son of God!” (Matthew 14:33) They came up, took hold of His feet, and worshiped Him. (Matthew 28:9)

Worship Sing and make melody with your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God. (Ephesians 5:19-20)

Palm Sunday A very large crowd spread their robes on the road; others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road. Then the crowds who went ahead of Him and those who followed kept shouting: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest heaven!” (Matthew 21:8-9)
