4. Goals:
to motivate, to engage, and to provide my students with a real world application of the mathematics Core Academic Standards.
to have the students actively learning through kinesthetic-tactile experiences by designing and building, testing and programming robots using the LEGO EV3 Mindstorms technology.

5. The Challenge:
The challenge for FLL (First Lego League) this year was “Animal Allies”, where students researched how animals and humans interact. The students learned about critical thinking, team building and presentation skills, along with opportunities to reflect on activities and contemplate decisions made with an awareness of core content and of the process of learning to explore new solutions for the challenge at hand.

29. Suggestions for those interested in sponsoring a FLL team:
When registering your team, have an experienced coach guide you through the process. It can be a nightmare!!!!
Order field kits as soon as possible! It will take time to assemble the items!
