The promise in 2 Samuel 7 revolves around two houses.
I will make you a house (7:9-11).
He shall build a house for my name (7:12-14).
 Fulfilled in the reign of Solomon (1 Kings 8).
Israel’s sin caused the fall of both houses! (2 Kings 25)
