WVGSA Scores Wednesday, April 27, 2016
Student results for completed content area tests start appearing A completed content area tests MUST have BOTH completed Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) Performance Task (PT) Scores to appear Approximately 15 days after completion of the CAT and PT Possible for student scores to appear in ORS earlier For the science test, the test must be completed and submitted.
14
Fluid Reports Scores for a district, school, grade, content area, class or test administration group will NOT appear at the same time. Therefore, while scores are appearing in ORS, the state level, district level, school level and roster level information will be fluid. Proficiency Rates/Claim Scores will move up or down while results are added.
15
Use of Data Schools may use student scores as they appear in ORS to
Guide instructional decisions regarding each individual student; Release of Individual Student Reports to students and parents is embargoed until all scoring has been completed.

Option Pathway Students
Students enrolled in Option Pathway 1 are required to take the WVGSA and are included in the participation rate calculations and accountability data. Because Option Pathway 1 students do not accumulate credits until program completion, each student is assigned to the grade level currently achieved by the student’s grade 9 cohort. Thus, these students should be tested at the same grade level that the student’s grade 9 cohort level has currently achieved. The WVGSA should be administered in the grade level content areas. For example, let’s take a student who entered grade 9 in If this student is now participating in the Option Pathway program, the student would be considered a grade 11 student since the cohort from grade 9 is currently in grade 11. This student would need to take the WVGSA grade 11 ELA and math tests. Remember, this is for Option 1 Pathway Students.

Melissa Gholson, Ed. D. Coordinator Office of Assessment
29
Testing Status Alternate Summative Window ends on June 3, 2016.
Submit any requests to amend/extend your schedule. 1,299 students have completed at least one testlet. 5740 testlets have been completed. Always go to the KITE page to determine if the system is working. Do not contact the DLM HELP DESK for issues that can be looked up in Educator Portal or a Manual. This is creating long wait times on calls due to large volume.
30
Reminders Do not use a Local Caching Server (LCS)
All data extracts, TIPS, or test materials must be kept secure according to procedures under Policy 2340 and are considered test security breaches. When checking on status of tickets: keep track of original ticket number and reply to that ticket response.

Data Lockdown Reminders
Data lockdown procedures are currently in effect. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. This procedure is the only way to edit data related to enrollment and rosters. Any student new to the system can be added to enrollment in Educator Portal manually. Rostering follows the lockdown procedure. PLEASE DO NOT YOUR SCHEDULE TO ME! Use the hyperlink for schedule and extensions. Upload enrollment Edit student Exit student Transfer student Rosters Create roster Upload roster Edit roster
36
Data Lockdown Do not e-mail templates to the Helpdesk.
They must be uploaded to the secure Hawkdrive to maintain data security.
37
HELP DESK REQUESTS 5-7 Business Days
If you need to communicate further with the HELPDESK go back to the original where they assigned you a ticket number so that you get the same person. Failure to do this will add to the time to complete the request. Unresolved after 7 business days contact me with you information from this tracking sheet. Forward me the initial test ticket number .
38
Monitoring Accessibility: WVS.326
All test administrators must be trained on the WVS.326 procedures contained in the PG as per Policy 2340. Remember you can add a new accommodation to the form. To remove (take away) an accommodation, you must fill out a new form. Need more forms? Use a pencil. Do not staple forms.
