Weathering, Erosion and Deposition
By Logan and Wade Ms. Wilson’s class
2
Weathering Weathering is when wind, water etc.
carves away at a surface such as rock or sand. As you can see wade’s foot is weathering (or rather kicking it) the sand and the breeze is carrying (or eroding it) and depositing the sand somewhere else.

Elements of weathering
Weathering has lots of help, including erosion. When water flows it carries away and breaks up sediment . Also when water freezes inside rock it can crack and if it is small enough it can fly of and cause more weathering. When things are broken up its time for erosion to carry them away for deposition.
4
Erosion Erosion is the second step in this process. While weathering does the breaking up erosion does the carrying away. Sometimes erosion can cause more weathering. Like when wind carries a rock and hits a fence or another larger rock and can break of more smaller pieces to be carried away for deposition.
5
Deposition Deposition is the final step in this posses. It is when wind water rain etc. deposits sand, water, or rock in a different place. When it is deposited it can chip off rock or wood in to smaller pieces so the cycle can repeat it self.
