The Government of India is fully committed to development and empowerment of youth. Youth should be active participants of national development and not merely receivers of services.

3. National service scheme was started with the aim of development of personality of young students through community work.

4. Dr Hedgewar Smruti Rugna Seva Mandal’s Dental College and Hospital has undertaken the unit of National Service Scheme.

5. Undergraduate students can participate in this scheme as student volunteers.
BENEFITS: Award of 10 extra marks in final year examination after completion of 240 hours of community service in two years.
