Freight Boat Intercepted by the British Navy

Admitted into a makeshift hospital in Buchenwald, Germany 2. Transferred for recuperation to Ecouis, Normandy, France 3. Joined Aliyah Bet Movement (July 1945) 4. Their freight boat was intercepted by the British Navy 5. Imprisoned in a detention camp called Atlit near Haifa, Palestine 6. After 2 months he was freed by the Hagannah, the Jewish Underground in Israel 7. In Dec he joined the Hagannah and went through Military Training 8. He was fully mobilized on Nov. 29th 1947 when the United Nations partitioned Palestine and he fought in Israel’s War of Independence from Imprisoned in Atlit, near Haifa Fully Mobilized in 1947 and fought in Israel’s War of Independence
