SSR Reflection Read a book of your choosing for fifteen minutes. Focus on imagery the author uses. In your composition book, respond to the following questions. Did the author use language to create a feeling or picture in your mind? What words did the author use and how did s/he create this picture in your mind?

3 1.8 I will analyze and critique a poet’s style focusing on imagery, detail, and diction in order to reflect on my stylistic technique. In your composition book, complete the following. Select a memory of a place, event, or time when you were in 6th grade(age 11) brainstorm a list of images that this memory generates for you. Challenge: Evoke all five senses in your list. (2 – 3 min.) Free write on the memory you have chosen, using imagery to convey all the sensory details that it evokes. (4 – 6 min.)

Choose an image and expand your ideas below by including sensory details to capture a vivid description of the image for your readers.
