We will be having visitors in shop today! Be alert. 2nd period: Tardy Notices!

3 Activity 1-1 Objective: Students will use a personal-assessment tool to identify personal strengths and weaknesses related to learning and work environments. Students will use vocabulary common to the video game design industry. Part One: You are applying for a job at the Really Cool Game Company. It requires a personal assessment filled out when you arrive for your job interview to help determine if you are the right fit for the team it is building. How? Complete the assessment as honestly as possible using the scale provided. See your worksheet.

4 Print your Avatar. Write your name on the back of the paper.

Part Two: To visually demonstrate your strengths and weaknesses, the Really Cool Game Company has asked you to draw a character to display your attributes. This character will be your “attribute avatar”. Definition: An avatar is an image used to represent a person. Many video games use avatars for the players. How? Create your Avatar! Print your Avatar. Write your name on the back of the paper. Tape your Avatar to the wall. Gallery Walk! Who is who? Worksheet.

5 Communicating Your Strengths
Today’s Objective: Identify personal strengths and weaknesses related to learning and work environments. 1. Log into 2. Go to Chapter 1. 3. Click on Ch 1 Forum: Communicating Your Strengths 4. Post your answer: Think about a time when you were on a team and you felt you were best to lead a certain task. While being respectful of others on your team, how could you have communicated that you had the strengths needed to do the job? 5. Reply to at least 1 post by another student. Remember your Accountable Talk language. 6. Your have 20 minutes to post and answer another posting. 7. Let’s discuss! Who would like to share with the class their answer?
