San Martin de los Andes is the "Jewel" of the "Corredor de los Sietes Lagos", Seven Lakes Belt, and the most important tourist center in Neuquen province. Situated on the shores of Lake Lacar the city is located in a natural basin protecting it from the wind.
The town has hotels, restaurants, tea houses, Viennese pastry houses, and there is hang-gliding, trekking, volcano climbing, and rafting to name just a few pursuits. Within the Lanin Natural Park there is the possibility for salmon fishing, trekking, rafting, mountaineering, 4 wheel drive excursions and much more. Fishing can be enjoyed all year round.

The beautiful Seven Lakes' paved road, takes you to Villa La Angostura, the Los Arrayanes National Park and the Nahuel Huapi lake.
