Required Layout for The Cross Curricular Book Project
Square 1 Book Title Author’s Name Project by: Your Name Goes Here Insert or Draw a Picture that represents your book. (25 pts) Square 2 Write a 1 – 2 paragraph summary about this book. Square 3 Book Rating – Give this a book a 1 – 4 star Rating, 4 is the best. Then explain in 2-3 sentences, why you gave the rating that you did. You must be specific and include information from the book to back up the opinion. You can not just say, “I don’t like this book” or “I thought this book was awesome”. Square 4 List 12 Facts that you learned from this book. They must be numbered and written in complete sentences. They must be relevant facts. Good Example: Matter that is composed of atoms and packed tightly together are known as solids. Bad Example: A Solid is stuff around us.

Cross Curricular Book Project
The book you choose can be any science related topic unless otherwise instructed by your teacher. Time will be provided in class to obtain a school library book. If you owe money, have a lost book, etc… it is your responsibility to find a science related book on your own from home or the public library. If you are in doubt about your book, ask the teacher if it is ok to use. You must turn your book projects in according to the due dates. Late book projects will not be accepted as you have been given due dates in advance for the entire year and you should be able to make the time to read the book and complete the project on time. You may use the attached 4 square template as a guide to draw your own on paper, or you may download this template from the teacher website and type directly into the template. Due Dates are as follows: Aug 31, 2017, Sept. 22, 2017, Oct. 27, 2017, Nov , Dec. 15, 2017, Jan , Feb 28, 2018, March 23, 2018, April and May are free months – no project due
