1. Student practical placements
State Higher Vocational School in Tarnow
Study direction: Economics

2. Practical placements are obligatory:
- Act of Parliament (on higher education),
- SHVS Tarnow study statute,
- Practical placements school regulations.

3. Practical placements are implemented
in adequate institutions/ enterprises
i. subject related
ii. SHVS has an agreement on pp.

4. Basic groups of pp. institutions:
Banks and other financial institutions,
Agricultural and rural development institutions,
Ag related enterprises,
Farms (plant and/or livestock production),
Practical placements abroad.

5. Time: usually June - October.
Control and co-ordination role:
from the SHVS side: academic staff,
a person appointed by Rector
from the partner side:
a person appointed by the institution/ enterprise
PP are organised according to a study direction programme, prepared by the head of the unit (department).

6. Six weeks pp are abligatory,
after the second year of study (three years)
In case od pp abroad student
can have one year pp.

7. For pp abroad foreign language internal exam is required.

8. Pp objectives: i. skills to practical implementation knowledge
gained during the study period.
ii. To get acquainted with:
- organisation of the institution
- different aspects of real life functions of the institution
- procedures
- methods of job organisation,
- professional job experience.

9. PP helps to understood personal features
Pp is an opportunity for a student to gain personal experience and to verify theory in practice to increase future job opportunities.
