Continuation of seminar series with local participation Helsinki topic: ”Current and future roles of GP nurses, reflected through immigrant nurses and doctors in Finland” Aiming at broadening the scope of PHC and including more of social issues

PHC Expert Group ToR for mitigation of antibiotics resistance:
health systems, including incentives structures, to promote rational antibiotics use appropriate use of antimicrobial agents for humans correct and easily accessible microbial diagnosis of infections analysis of measures needed to implement behaviour change prevention of health-care related infections

PHC Expert Group Antimicrobial resistance, ctd:
prevention of spread of resistant microorganisms from health care facilities surveillance of antimicrobial resistance trends information to the general populations on the need to use antibiotics cautiously

Sweden preliminarily prepared to act as Lead Partner – Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI) ? Funding for coordinator sourced through Sida Baltic Sea Unit Reporting through PHC EG – or as separate task group ?

ITA financing intended to be done through ImPrim Project Possibly ITA financing issues need further consideration for 2010 and beyond As for all EGs – a need for operating funds
