God pleads with men to return to Him God’s path is the only way to salvation Return to absolute respect for the Scriptures as absolute truth from God Return to using the Scriptures as our only source of authority for belief and practice

Will return hearts to God, Malachi 4:5-6 (Luke 1:16-17) The gospel has the power to turn sinful hearts to God, Eph. 4: (Acts 2:37; Luke 8:15)

Will return sinners to Christ’s law of pardon, Acts 3:17-21, 26 Unity on how to be saved (Eph. 4:5) Not prayer…faith only…HS experience New Testament: Hear, believe, confess faith, repent, baptized (Acts 2:21, 38, ; 8:35-38; 16:30-34)

Will return Christians to purity in worship, John 4:24 (Lev. 10:1-2) Sing (Eph. 5:19); Pray (Acts 2:42); Give (1 Cor. 16:2); Lord’s supper (Acts 20:7); Preach the word (Acts 20:7) When heart is not right, what it offers to God is not accepted, cf. Isaiah 1: (Psalm 51:16-17; Matthew 15:7-9)

Will return the local church to its proper order, Acts 16:4-5 Organization, Acts 14:23; 1 Pet. 5:2 Work, Acts 6:1-4, 7 Unity, 1 Corinthians 1:10 (Eph. 4:16)

Will return the importance of doctrinal accuracy, 1 Timothy 4:1 (1:3); Galatians 1:6-10 End the spirit of compromise End toleration of error “as long as you are sincere and open to study…” (1 Kings 18:21) 2 John 9-11

Will return us to pure morals and holy living, 1 Peter 1:13-16 Modest clothing, 1 Timothy 2:9-10 Not adultery, Matthew 19:9 Self-control (not smoking, drinking, drugs, profanity), 1 Corinthians 9:25

Mandatory for salvation, Matthew 7:21-25; 2 John 9-11 Rest for your soul, Jeremiah 6:16; Matthew 11:28 Teachings of Jesus are complete and sufficient to give us all we need for life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3-4
