2 What We Do Departmental delegated authority for:
Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA) of 1970 Section 104(d) of the Housing and Community Development Act for CDBG & HOME programs

3 Who We Support All of HUD
HUD HQ Division Staff – HQ Program Offices and Regional Relocation Specialists HUD Regional Relocation Specialists – provide local program and project support to HUD staff and grantees

4 URA / 49 CFR part 24 Applies to Federally funded programs/projects (some exceptions) Triggers - Acquisition, Rehabilitation, Demolition Permanent Displacement and Replacement Housing Payment

5 Section 104(d) / 24 CFR part 42 May apply if CDBG or HOME funds are used for the project Triggers – Demolition or Conversion of lower income dwelling units Two components: Relocation Assistance One-for-one replacement of housing demolished or converted

Displacement, relocation, acquisition and replacement of housing requirements Apply in addition to: URA and if applicable Section 104(d) CDBG and RAD
