5. General Objective
To raise the awareness of the risk from failures of security measures at the Port Facility

6. Specific Objectives
To test the vigilance of security staff to failures of the surveillance equipment
To raise the awareness of the security risk from surveillance equipment failures
To test the procedures for the management of surveillance equipment failures
Meet or better the specified benchmark esponse times for this drill

7. Required Attainments Security staff will be able to:
Detect failures in surveillance equipment
perform the checks to confirm the nature of the failure
report the failure and track the rectification process

Security equipment may malfunction from time to time. It is essential that security staff react appropriately to the nature of the malfunction in order to maintain the security of the Port Facility

To activate malfunctions in security systems in order to test the reaction of security staff

To safely disable a surveillance camera without being observed
To safely disable a motion sensor without being detected, and remain in the vicinity
