Calendar of Events: LCPS student holiday March 1 Daylight Saving Begins March 13 St. Patrick’s Day March 17 LCPS Spring Break March 21-25 Easter Sunday March 27 LCPS Public Hearing # March 28 MARCH: TO-DO LIST As we transition from winter to spring, March is the time to prep for your outdoor work, like getting out the outdoor tools and cleaning them off. If doing the yard work yourself is not on your agenda, please be sure to contact your lawncare provider for their service. This is also a great month to hire a pressure washing service and remove moss from walkways. As you walk around your home outside, take a look at the structure and see what needs taking care of. Your roof should be clear of moss, branches and leaves, so should your gutters. The siding may need to be cleaned or painted so if you need to get quotes from an professionals, this is the month to get them out to your house. Other home maintenance tasks suggested are Perform monthly smoke alarm test. Holding down the button tests the actual sound, but a more accurate test is to mimic the alarm’s ability to detect smoke. Start cleaning up flower beds and apply any nutrients or mulch. Locate and remove early signs of bird nests or pests. Inspect the basement or attic for signs of water damage. Start your spring cleaning by washing the windows and tackling the places inside that contribute to allergens (like under the bed). 2015 Real Estate Market Analysis – Evergreen Reserve
If your property is currently listed with another broker, this is not a solicitation of the listing. All or some of the properties identified in this newsletter and its enclosures may include listings by brokers other than Re/Max Premier. LCPS Attendance Zone Update Elementary School It was hoped that Evergreen Reserve and Martin’s Chase will align to Madison’s Trust Elementary (located on Creighton Road) when it opens in the Fall of But the final decision adopted by the school board on December 8th was moving these 2 communities to Sycolin Creek. While moving our kids from overly crowded Creighton’s Corner to Sycolin Creek is a positive change, it creates dilemma for some parents who rely on transportation service provided by After-school Childcare Centers. Several centers will not pick-up kids from Sycolin Creek while some other centers are waiting to make a decision depending on the enrollment in the fall. A list of the After School Care Centers and their current position for Sycolin Creek pick-up decision is available upon request. Secondary School LC School Board is planning to open new middle and high schools in fall This proposal requires attendance zone change for many of the Loudoun County schools including Briar Woods HS and Eagle Ridge MS. Attendance Zone meeting/Public hearings have been scheduled on the following dates: March 28 April 4 April 11 May 2 These meetings will take place at the LCPS Admin Building in Ashburn. Please attend to voice your concerns, if you have any!!!
