4. A. Introduction:

5. 1) During the Jewish Dispensation God had instructed Moses to construct a mobile Tabernacle in the wilderness that moved with the people. Ex 25, 33, 40; Lev 9:23; Num 16:42

7. 2) David designed and Solomon built a permanent Tabernacle in Jerusalem. 1 Kings 8; 2 Chron 5; Isa 37:16; Acts 7:44-47

10. 3) The Lord Jesus Christ, as the Shekinah Glory, dwelt in both Tabernacles in the Holy of Holies. Num 9:15-23

4) A Temple is an edifice for religious exercises. Tabernacle is a sanctuary, a dwelling place, a temporary shelter, to take up temporary residence or to inhabit a physical body.

14. 5) Because of the Lord’s 1st Advent, there are no longer any sacred buildings in which He dwells. Heb 9:11-12

15. 6) In the Church Age, God the Holy Spirit indwells the body of every believer, James 4:5, in order to provide a temple for the indwelling of Christ.

16. 7) In the Tabernacle our Lord dwelt in the Holy of Holies
7) In the Tabernacle our Lord dwelt in the Holy of Holies. In the Church Age the Holy Spirit indwells you, thereby creating a holy place for the Lord to dwell.

17. 8) There are no sacred man-made buildings in the Church Age, only auditoriums where Bible doctrine is taught.

18. 9) Since the Old Sin Nature resides in every cell of your body, Jesus Christ could not reside in your body unless the Holy Spirit first constructs a perfect temple for Him.

19. 10) The Holy Spirit’s indwelling turns your body into a sacred building and provides positional restraint on the Old Sin Nature.

20. Rom 8:11, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.”

21. 11) The indwelling of Jesus Christ demands that every believer give #1 priority to his relationship with God before his relationship with people.

22. 12) The Spirit provides the base of operation for establishing your #1 priority, relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Spirit; who all dwell in you. John 14:23-27

23. 13) These indwellings lead you in the transformation of your life into the image of the Shekinah Glory. 2 Cor 3:14-18
