What are the negative consequences of stress. How to manage stress.

3 What is stress ? Stress is a common physical response to actions or situations that make a person feel in danger . This feeling effects a person’s health, mentally and physically

4 The fight –or flight reaction
When a person senses some form of jeopardy, the body does the automatic process known as the "fight-or flight" reaction. (Smith, Segal, & Segal, 2013) in addition this reaction might be harmful and irritating but not always,

5 Stress has a good side Stress gives you a boost of energy and alertness and it will keep you aware and focused on what your working on. in fact “Stress can have a positive side. A certain level of stress may be necessary and enjoyable in order to help you prepare for something or to actually do it” For example if you have an exam or an important project for a deadline, the stress you will face will keep you aware and focused.

6 What are the negative consequences of stress?
Stress affects the mind, body, and manners in several ways, and each person experiences it differently. The Negative consequences : Depression. Lack of sleep. Eating disorders. Severe headaches. Unhealthy or sick appearance. Look older than your actual age. Affects your relationship with your co-workers, friends and family. Depression is the most common result of being stressed ….and being stressed for months or even years can lead to lack of sleep , eating disordes , severe headache and allot more

7 How to manage stress? Here’s how !
1-find someone to talk to about your difficulties instead of keeping it to yourself. 2- don’t overwhelm yourself by stressing about your entire work load. 3-learn how to relax. It is crucial to be familiar with the causes, since it is the key in taking a step forward to managing stress. It is beneficial to take the specific steps to deal with the source of the problem. After recognizing the origins of your stress and its symptoms, you can start to apply stress management techniques. 4-change your perspective of things and the way you see situations. 5-have a healthy life style such as getting enough sleep hours every day.

8 6-Take things in your life light heartedly.
7-keep a diary where you can write your thoughts, express yourself, and then analyze situations.
