2. What is a rain forest?
A Rain forest is a place with lots of plants and half of all animals in the world.
A rainforest is hot, wet, and it rains a lot in the rainforest.

3. Location of Rain Forests
Rainforests are located in South America, Asia, Africa, North America,and Australia.They are all found around the equator.

4. Emergent Layer The emergent layer is the very top of the rain forest.
The emergent layer has animals and the animals are
the harpy eagle, monkeys, sloth, and lots of birds.

5. Canopy Layer The canopy layer has different kinds of animals
The animals are beautiful. They are parrots, toucans, three toe frog, lizards, and monkeys.

6. Understory Layer
The understory layer has lots of animals such as jaguars, snakes, spiders, parrots, macaws, and red eyed tree frogs.

7. Forest Floor The forest floor has different types of animals.
They are tarantulas, dragonflies, beetles, tapir, snakes, and armadillos.

8. Deforestation People cut down trees for fire wood.
People chop down trees for shelter.
They are cutting down trees to make money.

9. People of the Rain Forest
Some of the people are short.
People paint their face.
The people use the plants for medicine
