2. Objectives By the end of this session you will be able to:
Recognize the effect of shutter speed on camera shake and motion blur
Set shutter-priority on your camera and adjust shutter speed
Pan your camera to capture motion
Use Image Stabilization and camera supports to reduce camera shake

3. ½ second

4. Shutter Speed How long the sensor is exposed to light
Anything from half a minute to 1/4000th of a second

5. Finding it on your camera
Speed should be displayed on screen (on ‘P’)
Set the camera to ‘S’ or ‘T’ on command dial
Use the 4-way selector and /or scroll wheel to adjust the shutter speed
Camera will automatically adjust so that EV will remain the same
Camera may remember setting after it’s turned off (this is settable too)
