Sequence for wheelchair-to-floor transfer forward in long-sitting. Notice how the clinician's position changes as she stands ready to provide assistance and guarding. (A) Patient and clinician are in the ready position.(B) Patient is forward in the chair with LEs in position. (C) Maintaining one hand on the armrest (or drive wheel), the patient reaches down with the other hand for the caster. (D) The patient lifts the trunk, slides forward, and begins the descent. (E) The patient is seated on the floor in long-sitting.
