We are having a great time in 2nd grade. We have enjoyed getting to know each other and working hard to establish rules and routines to keep us safe and help us learn. This years theme is encourage one another. This group does a great job encouraging each other and wanting everyone to succeed. I am looking forward to a great year!
This month we will continue to do a lot of review! We are working on addition and will soon start subtraction. We are going to start our first science unit “Think Like a Scientist” next week. We have been practicing daily 5 for language arts and are excited to start doing it independently this month. Daily 5 is a language arts technique that encompasses using 5 stations listen to reading, read to self, word work, partner read, and work on writing. This allows the students to become more independent and allows me to focus on reading groups. If you have any questions please contact me 
