2. TASK
The flooring in your bedroom is lime green and you HATE it. You need to convince your parents to replace it. Determine the cost of new carpeting or tile, and decide which one would be best in your room. Once you have all your information, write a letter to your parents with your choice. Use the facts to persuade them to give you a new floor.

3. PROCESS Make a sketch of your bedroom on graph paper.
Measure your bedroom and fill in the dimensions
Convert your measurements to square feet and square yards.
Find out how much a square foot or square yard of carpet or tile costs by visiting at least three web sites.(examples are below).
