Welcome to the Worldwide Joint Training Conference 2008 (WJTSC 010-1) held for the second time here at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
This years conference provides us the opportunity and forum for developing a collaborative way to continue the development of the Individual and Staff portions of your Joint Training Programs, update open conference action items, and develop a way ahead for Individual and Staff Joint Training.
You all, as representatives of either the Combatant Commands or the Services and Support Agencies are the right collection of players to address these issues head on. I challenge each of you to roll up your sleeves and work hard to get after the execution of the Secretary Of Defense’s Strategy and the Chairman’s guidance.

Conference sessions are UNCLASSIFIED
No classified discussions are authorized at the hotel
If necessary, arrangements can be made with USNORTHCOM for offsite classified discussions

Messages will be posted on the bulletin board outside the entrance to the Admin/Ops Room

• Smoking Area: Smoking is limited within the hotel. Smoking areas are located outside the main entrance and in the center courtyard.

This is a participatory, non-attribution forum -- help everyone understand your point of view and respect everyone’s right to do the same
The need for consensus may sacrifice optimum performance for some to establish common ground
We’re constrained by time and attacking complex issues -- help us work through an aggressive agenda
Keep the right level of detail for the entire audience and conference objectives
Minimize side-bars, wait to be recognized, and stay focused
