*Eaton’s Carnival will be here before we know it! It was such a fun night last year!!! Your children had their kickoff today at school and have brought home an envelope with all of the important information for this fundraiser for our school.
*Our class is putting together a game night basket to sell at the carnival. We would really appreciate you donating your favorite family game to our basket. All the money raised at the carnival will go to buying new technology for your kids.
*I would love your child to enter a project in our Science Fair! It is not mandatory, but I love to see the fun projects you help your kids with. It’s a great opportunity to learn and have fun with your kids  They are due this coming Monday the 26th!
Classroom Needs
Snacks- crackers, pretzels, granola bars
Coffee filters (for snack)

What are we learning next week?
Reading- We will be reading the story Super Storms. The kids will be looking at the main idea and details of the story and cause and effect relationships. We will also be meeting in reading groups throughout the week. Tests over spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension will be given on Friday. Please read with your child each day. Reading with your child will greatly increase their reading ability.
Math-The kids will continue in chapter 3 which covers basic addition and subtractions facts, fact families as well as word problems with these facts. Our chapter 3 math test will be Friday.
Language- compound words, digraphs (th, wh, sh, ch, tch, ph words), and verbs.
Homework: Homework packets come home on Friday and are due the following Thursday. If the packet is completed before Thursday, feel free to send it in
