Animals BSL-3 Lab Chemical Inventory Decommissioning of labs Timeline for move How things are moved No hoarding policy for chemicals Radioactive labs, BSC decommissioning and move How to decommission the building once everything is moved out Timing with moving. What can moving move? What do we need chem stores to move? What do we need RM to move? Planning a Move – Special Concerns

We needed to look at alternative spaces for hte microscopy lab since the new building would not meet the vibration requirements of the scopes. One of scopes will be placed on a huge vibration canceling mat to further reduce any vibrations. Before the scopes can be moved they need to have the company come in and decommission them. Once BYU moving has them in the new location the company needs to come out and re-commission the scopes before they can be used. Some of the chemicals that will be moved include a two large liquid nitrogen dewers that will be housed in the utility closet. These need to be handled very carefully due to the asphyxiation hazard. Compressed gas cylinders present an explosion hazard during the move. The chemical bottles will be the easiest because they can be boxed by compatibility and moved over. Microscopy Lab

Greenhouse 3 greenhouse areas, headhouse, & Terrace Garden plants.
Timing of the move is important to track. Weather, heat, cold will effect the plants Greenhouse
