The verb Ir means to go and has the following forms in the Present Tense: yo nosotros nosotras tú vosotros vosotras ud. él/ella uds. ellos/ellas voy vamos vas váis va van

To indicate where a person is going, follow this formula:
Form of the verb Ir Name of a place a voy/vas/va/vamos/váis/van Voy a la biblioteca a las cuatro. I’m going (I go) to the library at four o’clock.

The "a" and the "el" contract to form:
When the place is a masculine, singular word, (and has “el” in front of it): The "a" and the "el" contract to form: al ¿Vas al centro comercial este fin de semana? Are you going to the mall this weekend?

To ask where a person is going, use:
¿adónde? ¿Adónde vas el sábado por la noche? Where are you going on Saturday night?

To say that something is going to happen, use this formula:
Form of the verb Ir Verb Infinitive a voy/vas/va/vamos/váis/van the “unconjugated” form that ends in -ar/-er/-ir Voy a hablar con el profesor mañana. I’m going to speak with the teacher tomorrow.

Future action can also be expressed with one-word verb forms in the correct context:
Mañana compro la carne para la cena. Tomorrow I will buy the meat for the dinner. La próxima semana tenemos un examen. Next week we will have an exam.
