What does the Legislative Branch do?
Legislates (makes laws) for the United States. Represents people of each state in Washington, D.C. Divided into the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Senate Two (2) Senators per state (100 total).
Represent people from their entire state. Elected every 6 years, with no term limit. Senators must be 30 or older, be a U.S. resident for 9 years, and live in the state they represent.

The House of Representatives
Based on population (435 Representatives). Represent people from one part of their state. Elected every 2 years, with no term limit. Members must be 25 or older, be a U.S. resident for 7 years, and live in their state.

The President signs the bill
The President signs the bill. If he or she chooses not to sign the bill, it is called a veto.
