1. STAKEHOLDER VISITS (Monitoring & Evaluation)
1.1 Request for Cooperation Lately we are picking up a trend of Companies not cooperating or agreeing to the annual monitoring visits when CHIETA evaluators contact them. Kindly be reminded of the following conditions of your accreditation/ approval/endorsement as workplaces/providers: CHIETA APPROVAL/ACCREDITATION LETTER stipulates - “….subject to the following requirements….. Annual monitoring…. Continuously meeting all the quality and compliance….” CLAUSE 8 of the Workplace Approval policy guidelines of 2013. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: These visits are not subjected to the availability of learners on site but it is a legislative requirement.

2. WORKPLACE APPROVAL/GRANTS RELATED
2.1 The CHIETA is obligated to account for the funding they give to stakeholders for training interventions. 2.2 Employers are therefore encouraged register their learners though the CHIETA’s ETQA Unit for and reporting purposes. 2.3 For programmes that are outside the scope of CHIETA a request will still have to be submitted to the CHIETA, who will then pass your information to the relevant SETA the employer chose for traceability and reporting purposes. 2.4 Employers are encouraged to ensure they are approved for the training interventions they offer prior engaging in learner developments.
