How Does work?
Fedora repository architecture:

Civil Engineering department receives a grant to build an earthquake simulation tool to enable department to model effect of earthquakes on buildings

Database, simulation tool and portal are archived within d-Rkive. Information products are discoverable and accessible at both sites.
