ATF established in May 2006 Terms of Reference set in Dec 2006 Opportune moment to assess ATF: ATF now 2 years old NITB Corporate Plan Countryside Recreation Strategy Your opinion counts

15 Objectives of ATF to promote the sharing of information and best practise within the industry to define activity tourism priorities to understand any gaps in commercial skills and facilitate training sessions or seminars as appropriate to create stronger links between the activity tourism providers and NITB marketing and market development activities to inform the activity tourism sector of NITB marketing plans, opportunities, developments and market information as well as sharing any product developments plans (such as route and trail development by CAAN) to encourage collaborative marketing (such as fully taking advantage of PR opportunities)

16 Objectives of Working Group
to elect a working group whose objective is: to agree the agenda for Activity Tourism Forum meetings to consider the issues identified from the forum and collaboratively agree the way forward to input into activity tourism action plans to advise, recommend and input into specific, marketing-focused tasks or projects, on behalf of the Activity Tourism Forum members to lead on non-marketing tasks or projects on behalf of the Activity Tourism Forum members to seek funding opportunities where possible

20 Election Procedure The new Working Group will consist of ten members (excluding ex-officio members) All nominees should be verbally proposed and seconded at the Forum Persons proposing and seconding nominees may not come from the same organisation as the nominee or each other All nominees should be a current member of the Activity Tourism Forum If more than 10 people are nominated, a private ballot will be carried out by the members present at the Forum The Working Group Chairman will be elected by the Working Group at their first meeting Ex-Officio: Chris Scott, Marketing Officer, CAAN (Secretary) Willie Lougheed, Activity Tourism Manager, NITB Karen Hope, Activity Tourism Officer, NITB
