Spring Term Newsletter
Goodbyes World Book Day at Holy Brook School On world book day we were visited by Mrs Twit and Gangsta Granny. These infamous characters entertained and even taught the children in River and Stream class, as both Al and Kirsty had mysteriously disappeared! Thankfully they were both back in school the next day. This term we said good bye to Jack Haigh who has been supporting learning in River Class. He has moved up to Nottingham so he decided the commute was too long! We all wish him well. We are also sad to say that Emma, the voice and face of Holy Brook is also leaving. I know she made all of our friends and families feel welcome and at ease when they first arrived at Holy Brook. She will be missed by all the children and staff! We wish her all the very best in her future career. Important Dates Judo Display Thursday 6th April End of Term Friday 7th April Start of Term Tuesday 25th April Bank Holiday Monday 1st May

This Term’s Learning River and Stream
This term both River and Stream classes have been studying World War 2. They have found out how it started, which countries were involved and who were the leaders at the time. However most importantly they found out how it affected real people. This culminated in our Evacuee Day. The children took on the roles of evacuee children and they were helped by our Governors and friends. Thanks to Lyn, Mike, Patrick and Alison for all their help in making the day so special.
