Do I Need a Calculator? Yes!
You will be expected to complete most assignments without the use of a calculator. However, there will be a few assignments that DO require you to have a calculator AND you must also have one for TCAP. Mrs. Bybee has class sets of TI-73s and TI-Inspires for us to use during in class activities.
12
More Expensive Calculators We Have at Meigs $75-$150
L to R: TI-73, TI-83+, TI-Nspire (old ones we have), TI-Nspire (new color screen!)
13
Affordable Calculators To Buy $10-$20
Any of the TI-30’s are great buys! Look for the square root/cube root key. It is especially nice if the calculator has fraction functions.
14
Grading Policy Will look very different from previous years
You will be graded based solely on what you know and how well you demonstrate that you have mastered the skills. There is now an Effort/Conduct Grade in each course. Therefore, YOU are responsible for producing work that demonstrates your knowledge AND for putting forth significant effort to produce that work.
