2. What is NJHS?
An organization for students who show leadership, citizenship, scholarship, service and character.
Students actively participate in the community and at Dulles Middle School

3. What are members’ responsibilities?
To maintain a cummulative 90 average in their core classes at the end of each nine weeks
Attend all NJHS meetings. (Calendar of meetings will be posted on Edmodo)

4. Member Responsibilities Cont.
12 hours of community service outside of school
At least 4 hours of service at Dulles Middle School
Total: 16 hours

5. The Cost $5 Fee: membership fee NJHS t-shirt $20.00
These need to be separate payments please

6. What does community service look like?
Voluntary work intended to help people in a particular area
Soup kitchen, Goodwill, Animal shelters, teachers, etc.
Students may only complete 2 hours of community service per event.

7. What do sponsors do to help with community service?
Offer students with opportunities in the school and around the community
Adopt-A-Spot
School Dances/Orientations
Tutoring

8. Important Information
Please RSVP for the Induction Ceremony to be held on April 28.
There will be a reception to follow where new members can mingle and eat some cake. :-)
