2 Purpose of the 3C Group Identify areas of compliance specific to the Elementary and High School District To receive specialized training related to compliance and the use of SEIS as a management tool for compliance To prioritize areas of need for future training To support the District in building capacity for self-monitoring compliance To produce a final report on our finding by March 2015 to be shared out with the leadership team

Third meeting in March 3/3, 3/4, 3/10, 3/11.

4 History District completed an onsite verification review June 2014 District completed a self-review for the elementary school district June 2014 We have excellent information from the above reviews to help us know the areas of noncompliance. The documents will be sent you as an for review.

5 District Identified areas of Noncompliance ( DINC)
California of Education has developed a new review process that was implemented fall 2014 called the DINC. The data in SEIS is uploaded to CDE on December 1st and June 30th each year and analyzed CDE is focused on six areas of compliance for DINC

6 DINC Compliance areas 1. Did the District meet timelines for Triennials/Initials during this time period 2. Did the District meet timelines for Annuals during this time period 3. Upon receiving a new referral – did the District send an Assessment Plan to parent within 15 day timeline 4. Was the Initial IEP held within 60 days of parent consent on the Assessment Plan 5. For preschool were the above timelines met for part C to B 6. All students who turn 16 have a transition plan in place with all required components

8 IEP Compliance Overview of a compliant IEP document
There are over 700 potential areas of noncompliance in a single IEP We are going to focus on what a basic compliant IEP should look like Hands-on review of an IEP and group discussion What are the areas of concerned identified by the group today that may be priorities for the District in the areas of IEP compliance?
