2. Geographical location
The district is located in the South - Eastern part of Ivano-Frankivsk region in the forest area. In the North the district borders with Tismenytsia district, in the North East - with Tlumach, in the East – with Kosiv district, in the West – with Nadvirna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. Total area is 1026,1 sq km, which is 7.4% of the total area of the region.
The Northern part of Kolomyya district lies in Pre-Carpathian area, Southern pasrt - within Pokuttya territory. The climate here is temperate, damp, with relatively mild winters and moderately warm summers

3. LOGISTICS Distance to regional center – 65 km
The distance to the borders: with Poland – 270 km, Romania – 120 km
Distance to international airports: Ivano-Frankivsk – 65 km, Chernivtsi – 76 km
Transport network
Motor roads network is developed in the region. Total length of roads is 407,1 км.
Three railway lines go across the district: Ivano-Frankivsk - Chernivtsi, Kolomyya – Rahiv, Kolomyia-Gorodenka
Total length of railway lines is 102 км.

Population of the district is 100,084 thousand people, including:
12,754 thousand persons of the urban population and 87,330 thousand rural population.
The population density is 98 persons per 1 sq. km.

4. Natural resources
The area is rich in natural gas, oil (Slobodа - Rungury oil field), brown coal (Kowalivka Deposit), rock salt (sodium chloride), sulphur(Zagaipil field), mineral salts, construction materials, peat, ozocerite, mineral water springs. Around the city of Kolomyya there is a good clay deposit, sandstones, limestone, gravel, galenic, which are used for the building materials production .

Land base of the district makes ,9 ha, 67973,8 ha of which occupy agricultural lands, 25779,6 hа – forests and forest areas, 5092,6 hа – built up land, 2372,7 hа occupies water and 1388,2 hа – other lands.

 The district's industry is represented by 20 industrial enterprises producing the most variable products: meat of domestic animals and meat products, bread and bakery products, frozen fruits and vegetables, juices and extracts, ethyl alcohol, granulated feed for farm animals and poultry, natural gas, ceramic tiles for ovens and fireplaces, electric wires and cables, timber land umber products, wooden and metal products.
The following industries are well developed in the region: extractive and processing industries (food, beverage, wood processing and wood products).

According to the project partners together with the investor plan to complete the reconstruction of the building (readiness makes 80%), and launch the production of pure juices.

Contribution of the initiator of the project: workshop facilities for agricultural products processing and warehouses for processed products storing of m2 total, 6 stationary industrial refrigerators and freezers of +50С to -250С total capacity on the area of 745m3, own vehicles and other equipment (dryers, vegetable cutters, etc) land plot of 4400m2.
