Step 1: Start online at the home page of the district website. I prefer to use Chrome but Internet Explorer will also work.

3 STEP 2: From the home page, select Tools, then from the drop down menu select (Office 365), then sign in

4 STEP 3: Once your has loaded, find the icon in the upper left corner that looks like a grid of boxes and select it.

5 Step 4: You will now see a menu of apps
Step 4: You will now see a menu of apps. Find the option that says OneDrive and select it.

6 This will bring you to a directory of your OneDrive
This will bring you to a directory of your OneDrive. Everything you see listed in this screenshot of my OneDrive is a folder. Files not in a folder have a different icon in front of them which shows the type of file. This says Files but it really should say Files and Folders

7 STEP 5: Open the desired OneDrive folder by putting your cursor directly on the name of the folder and clicking twice. In this example, I am opening my 8X8 folder.

8 The content of my 8X8 folder will now display
The content of my 8X8 folder will now display. Note: Applications is a subfolder within my folder. Also note the icons in front of the files.

9 STEP 6: To find the 8X8 cohort folder where you will upload your videos, you can follow the link you will receive in an . Later you can find the folder another way. Find “Shared with me” on the left side of your screen and select it. Here you see a list of files and folders that have been shared with me.

10 Step 6 Continued: Look for a folder named The 8X8 Project – Cohort # - # and select it.

11 Step 7: Once inside the correct folder, look for the upload option across the top. Click on the down icon and select File. Next navigate to your video and then click on it. (Note: If you end up in the wrong folder, simply click on Files to go back. Also, note that this was a practice folder so these filenames are not correct.)

12 STEP 8: Be patient while the file is uploading
STEP 8: Be patient while the file is uploading. In the upper right corner of the OneDrive, you will see a message “Uploading one file.” You should be able to use your computer or I-pad while the file uploads in the background. How long it takes to upload your file depends on its size. The times below are from a test run with three videos of varying length. Information shared from Kirk Redford’s Test Run: 5.32 GB took one hour and 54 minutes to upload. 1.9 GB took about 11 minutes to upload. 607 MB took less than five minutes to upload.

13 STEP 9: Once the file is uploaded, the message in the upper right hand corner will now say “One file uploaded.” You can verify it is there by going to the folder again and looking at the directory. Final Thoughts Remember that you can find the folder at any time by going to the “Shared with me” option. Sometimes a glitch occurs and not everything shared with you shows up under “Shared with me.” If that happens, contact me and I can show you a go-around using Delve, another option on the Office 365 Menu. In order to play the videos, all you need to do is click on the name of the video that you want to watch. If you have difficulty watching the video within the OneDrive, you can also download it to your computer or tablet.
