1555 HIV pos/neg adolescents 10 – 19 years 12 states in Nigeria-HIV trtx sites and public places face to face interviewer administered questionnaire Parental consent but not present for responses Average age of sexual debut=14.8 years Girls earlier age than boys (p=0.001) Twelve (5.7%) sexually active males and 69 (31.4%) females reported forced sex More females forced sex at sexual debut (p <0.001) Significantly more female ALHIV had experienced forced sex when compared to female adolescents who reported being HIV negative (p <0.01)
