Buffalo were the main resource of survival. They used buffalo meat for food and the hide for clothing.

Teepees could easily be taken down to support their nomadic lifestyle.

7 Adaptations to Environment
The Great Plains lives centered around the buffalo. They were nomadic and traveled from place to place to follow where the buffalo went. nomadic: to move and travel around a lot

8 Culture Buffalo was the center of their lives. They worshiped the buffalo and believed it was sacred. Buffalo hunts were held twice a year. Many tribes would get together to go on a big hunt. Men did the hunting and women would prepare.

9 Social Structure Many small tribes lived and traveled together.
Each tribe had a chief that was in charge of the group.
