Widely used method for killing unwanted trees during site preparation
Used in combination with other methods

Frill or Girdle Treatment

7. Key points to cut surface treatments:
Follow the labeled rates!
Calibration is important!
Cuts should be made in the form of a cup.
Best applied to trees greater than 2” DBH.
Adaptable to small landowners.
Low equipment costs.
