Science for Health & Development
INASP, PERI, and other help make the science literature available to developing country researchers Local and global donor resources strengthen research capacity in developing countries But, developing world scientists have great difficulty getting their research published
6
Why? Industrial world authors have help: Senior mentors
Author’s Editors Journals have fewer resources to help Commercial Open Access Authors must often write in English Potential mentors are over-committed
7
The Consequences All investments in science for development will have diminished impact, as those closest to the most serious problems will not communicate their knowledge!
