2. Q 1. Read the question carefully.
Which of the following items is not permitted to be taken into the Calculator Numeracy test?

A. A calculator
The calculator should not be multifunction or internet accessible.
B. A phone to use as a calculator
C. An eraser
D. A sharpener
E. 2B or HB pencils
Other items which students are not permitted to take into the test:
:• books, including dictionaries • rulers • coloured pens or pencils • mechanical lead pencils • felt pens • highlighters • correction fluid • glue • reusable adhesive • mobile phones • calculators (other than for the Numeracy Calculator Allowed test)
In this part of the test students should use the calculator they currently use at school or are most familiar with. The calculator should not be multifunction or internet accessible. Test administrators should check to ensure that information that might advantage a student has not been stored on the calculators. Ensure you have a reserve supply of calculators for students who do not have their own.

The Numeracy tests have multiple choice questions and
constructed response questions.

But the questions do get more difficult as you work through the test.
A. Multiple choice questions are easier than constructed response questions.

Most questions require working out – that is what the blank piece of paper is for.
You can ask for more paper if you need it.
