Current focus has been Simple models of different options for the girder Simple stress and deformation simulations to the models 6 different models with simulations already made Standard sections (IPE, etc.) Stainless steel for weld options, Epument 145/B for cast Supported from both ends of DB and MB girder Simulations: 300kg weight on MB, 120kg on DB

Weld option #1 Weight 22.3kg (for comparison) Max deformation 35μm

Weld option #2 Weight 45.6kg Max deformation 41μm
Weights more and doesn’t bring any added benefit compared to other weld options

Next steps A design of machined plate (components fixed to it, beam alignment with plate) Tolerances possible and reasonable to achieve for girder Eliminate unnecessary options Simulations on effects of thermal expansion
