The age and the educational background should be the first concern. The textbook should include local culture background. The purpose of learning English for these children is important

General content Choose the content that can help you to achieve your course goal. The content should include four skills-listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Don’t buy a boring book. Choose the content which can attract the kids. The content related to our daily lives

Exercises and activities
The purpose for the exercises is to reviewing the text. The exercises should include the skills the textbook is emphasized. Better get one that conducts four skills. Children like playing games

Format and Accompany Material
Don’t buy a textbook that even you don’t like its cover. A textbook especially for children ~ large printing letters and lots of pictures Clarity of its typesetting and its illustration. Accompany Material are not necessary but extremely helpful. (CD, a set of test, flash cards, multimedia adds, separated practicing books and etc.)

What should be conducted in the teacher’s guide? (Methodological guidance, alternative and supplementary exercise, answer keys, and etc.) A good teacher’s guide is the one easy for every teacher to use, even nonnative speaking teacher
