“Any Time, Any Place”: Virtual School is VERY flexible and gives you some control over how, when, and where you learn. But, this does NOT mean: You have no due dates Your pace chart doesn’t matter. You should only work during your VS lab period.

Instructor Expectations:
Returns calls within 24 hours Returns s within 24 hours Grade work within 48 hours Assignments and essays are manually graded Multiple Choice quizzes are graded automatically. Help YOU finish YOUR course successfully.

Student Expectations:
Decide within the 21 day grace period if this class is a good fit with your learning style and schedule. Be sure to communicate with me if you want to withdraw. Do assignments in order. Do not skip arround.. Follow your PACE CHART and the school calendar. You should be completing a minimum of 3 assignments every week.

Student Expectations:
You may take any assignment up to 3 times! Complete Discussion Based Assesssments (DBA’s) to let the teacher know your strengths and weaknesses. Successfully pass the proctored segment exam and complete .

Return phone calls/texts from the teacher.
Parent Expectations: When progress reports are received “reply” so I know that they didn’t end up as spam. Return phone calls/texts from the teacher. Talk with your child about what he is learning in the course. Encourage consistant work in the virtual course to stay on pace.

SJVS Policies Grace Period: Students withdraw after the 21 Grace Period will receive a WF (withdraw/failing) grade. Academic Integrity: All work submitted must be original with sources sited. Pace: Students must stay on or ahead of pace (8% per week) to remain enrolled Students may work ahead of pace but are required to be actively working each week. Discussion Based Assessments (DBA’S): Are required at the end of certain modules to demonstrate mastery of the content. These take place in my BBC online class. Segment Exams: Are proctored at school. Students must pass with a 60% to earn credit in the class. YOU MAY USE YOUR HANDWRITTEN NOTES!

Communication = Success!
Check your dashboard AND lesson messages each day before clicking into your course. Read course s and announcements daily. Communicate with SJVS teacher or lab facilitator regarding any concerns. Suggest students and parents copy down tech support phone number, they are available 24/7!
