2 Better Regulation – A high priority during SE Presidency
SE Presidency is committed to make further progress on the better regulation agenda and bring concrete benefits for businesses Possible priorities: further strengthen the use and quality of impact assessments, processing reduction measures and simplification initiatives as effectively as possible, monitor progress towards the 25 % reduction target and report regularly to the Council, the incoming Commission and European Parliament must continue with an ambitious better regulation agenda, concrete input on better regulation to the “post-Lisbon” agenda

End of July: Attachés Meeting for Council Working Group on Competitiveness and Growth Second half of September: Competitiveness Council in Brussels Beginning of October: The SME Charter Conference & European Competition Day in the surroundings of Stockholm Mid-October: Informal Competitiveness Council in Umeå Beginning of November: European Council in Brussels Beginning of December: Competitiveness Council in Brussels Mid-December: European Council in Brussels
