The Sample Story By Mr. Kelley
2
Beginnings Once upon a time, a cute little fuzz-ball of a penguin was born on the cold ice shelf of Antarctica. Blah, blah, blah… Note that this is an example and not a complete story! Everything in this example was created in PowerPoint 2010. The table top, book and pages were all created in PowerPoint. Only the images, such as the penguin, are outside sources. Soft edges oval and pencil grayscale were both added to this image.

Broken Heart Eventually the cute little fuzz-ball grew up to be a mighty penguin. The penguin, Bob, began to hang out with a bunch of bad penguins… Blah, blah, blah… Here is a tip when you are trying to make the heading and the text different colors. Type your title in whatever color you want. Then press enter. Change your font size, then type a word of text. Highlight that word and change it to the color you want to use. It should now stay the appropriate color. Soft edge rectangle and pencil grayscale were both added to the image.

Jump off the cliff! You only live once!
One day, the bad penguins all decided it would be funny to tell the young penguins to jump off the Cliff of Death! Everyone in Penguin Town knew it was forbidden to jump off the Cliff of Death, but the penguins were bad. Bob wasn’t so certain it was such a good idea to jump off the Cliff of Death. As all the bad penguins and the young penguins jumped off the Cliff, Bob had a choice to make. What do you choose? Jump off the cliff! You only live once! Don’t jump! It’s called the cliff of death for some reason! Soft edge rectangle and pencil grayscale were added to this image.
5
Good move to not jump! No sooner than you decide to back away from the edge and stop the younger penguins from jumping, you see a terrifying activity in the water below as the bad penguins are eaten by seals! One of the penguins manages to jump out of the water and land in safety. Blah, blah, blah… Background was removed and pencil grayscale applied.

Ever After Many years later, Bob was so glad he had not jumped and that he had stopped the young penguins from jumping. One of those he saved was a young girl named Bobbette. The two fell in love, married, and a baby named Bob, Jr. and lived happily ever after. Bob always warned Bobby to never, ever jump off the Cliffs of Death. The moral of the story is: don’t jump off the cliffs of death! The End Soft edge rectangle and pencil grayscale are applied to the image.

Oh. That is why they call it the Cliff of Death
Oh! That is why they call it the Cliff of Death! Bummer for you, you were eaten by a leopard seal. Your story ends here. If you notice where I placed this “dead end,” it is at the very end of the slide show. Always place your dead ends at the end of the show. This will make your action buttons easier to track. Also note, you need to have at least three such options in your story. I only give one example. Removed background and applied pencil grayscale.
